Dhal Soup

1 cup mung dhal
6 cups of water
5 drumsticks (frozen)
1 tsp salt
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp of cumin
1/2 tsp fine ground pepper
2 tbs of oil


Rice

1 cup rice
3 cups water



Breakfast Kitchari by Swami

Serves 2

1/2 rice
1/2 hulled mung dhal
6 cups of water

Okay to add some pickle on the side if you like.

Yusa (thin dhal soup)

Serves 1

1/2 cup hulled mung dhal
7+ cups of water
2tbs of oil mix

Oil Mix:
2 tbs oil
1.5 pinches of cumin
1 pinch of turmeric
1/2 pinch red chili powder

For full oleation 6.5tb , no spices

lemon rice with asparagus in brewers yeast sauce.  1c rice with 2tb oil. 6tb oil roasted with peanuts, urad dhal, cumin, 1/2 lemon, garnish rice, pinch of salt. (mom says also didnt put red chili cut in two and sizzled in oil)   . Per person .5c+4tb oil+1tb veggie oil=950kc  2018-mar-18
